TAYLOR: POSITIVITY IS GOOD
“The [last four years] flew over. Everyone says when you’re a kid that it’s a short career and you dismiss it, but it really is.
“Time has flown – I’m 28 now and I want to make the most of my career.
“The full-back position has definitely changed over the last few years – it has become the most popular position.
“I like playing it – it’s a position where you are enormously involved in the game in terms of attacking and defensive responsibilities as well.
“Full-backs are asked a lot now and it’s a very good position to play – a position that you’re still involved in. “
Burnley was enjoying a four-game unbeaten streak in the league before Sunday’s clash with Tottenham was postponed due to heavy snowfall.
Spurs were still reeling from a midweek Europa League loss to Slovenian minnows NS Mura and Taylor added: “We felt it was the right time to play them and we were desperate for that. the match is launched.
“We were disappointed that the game didn’t take place because it was a big game for us.
“We prepared as we normally would and expected it to be activated – when we arrived for our pre-game meal at 11am it was all clear and the next thing you know you watch through the window, the snow begins to settle and come down heavily.
