Valencia CF will become the first Spanish football club to implement in-game NFTs on Socios.com’s fan engagement and rewards app, in partnership with Chiliz, a leading blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry.

The launch is slated for Sunday, when 100 limited-edition NFTs will be minted in tribute to one of Valencia CF’s memorable moments during their La Liga fixture with Atlético de Madrid.

In addition to six La Liga championships, Valencia have won eight Copa del Rey championships, a Spanish Super Cup and an Eva Duarte Cup and are the fourth most supported club in the country, behind Real Madrid, Barcelona and the ‘Atlético Madrid.

Any Ethereum-based NFT market will be able to trade NFTs issued by Socios.com.

In total, 1.3 million fans from 167 nations use Socios.com to interact with and be rewarded by their favorite teams.
